1971 Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 - matching numbers. Coming from long term ownership with the same elderly owner for the last thirty years. Recently recommissioned after lay up for the past few years due to the owner giving up driving. Low mileage, believed genuine. Incredibly well-preserved interior in fine condition with all the trim present, it appears the interior has never been apart. The engine received fluid change, plugs etc and fired straight up and sounds very smooth. Video of the engine running and walk around of the car available. This 6.3 drives well, again attesting to a low mileage, well cared for car from long term ownership. As can be seen in the photos, the repaint (painted more than 15 years ago) is flaking in places, obviously a slight colour change to the exterior only. There is some rust that needs addressing on the front right flank. This is a dry state car. We are told that the underside of the car is extremely solid and rust appears to be isolated to that area. The suspension which is different from the 600 grosse, works albeit taking 5 minutes to fully rise but does lower over night. Possibly due to aged o rings in the three actuators? Further photos and video of the underside available on request.
Very fairly priced for a rare and desireable low mileage 6.3 from long term ownership in generally tidy condition, price takes into account further recommissioning required. Any questions, please email the EA team.
